Quick start for employees
Getting set up with Sunny Workplace® takes about ten minutes: accept your manager’s invite, sign in with your work account, take the Energy Profile assessment, and connect Slack or Teams.
Step 1: accept your invite and sign in
Your manager’s invite arrives by email. Open the link and continue with Google or Microsoft, using your work email (the one the invite was sent to). There’s no password to create, your work account handles sign-in. You’ll land in your company’s Sunny organization, connected to your team.
Details: “Signing in with Google or Microsoft.”
Step 2: take your Energy Profile assessment
The assessment has three parts and takes about ten minutes. It shows what tends to energize and drain you at work. The results are available as soon as you finish. Only your immediate team and manager can see your profile.

Step 3: connect Slack or Microsoft Teams
If your team uses Slack or Teams with Sunny, you’ll see a connect button after your assessment. Once connected, your check-ins, Pulse Checks, and team’s updates will be able to reach you where you already work.
If your company doesn’t use either, you can skip this. Everything works through email and the web app instead.
Details: “Installing the Sunny app for Slack and Teams.”
Step 4: do your first check-in
Your first check-in nudge arrives Monday or Wednesday at 10am your time, depending on when you join. You will be able to pick your energy level and add an optional reason in your own words. If you’d rather not attach your name to one, there’s an anonymity option on every check-in.
Details: “Team check-ins explained” and Keeping a check-in anonymous.”
What happens next
Sunny then follows a set weekly schedule: check-in nudges Monday and Wednesday, a five-question Pulse Check on Thursday, and a team summary on Tuesday and Friday. Your Pulse Check answers are always private: your manager only ever sees team averages. The full schedule is in “Your notification schedule: employees.”
