Inviting your team (and how to frame it)

How invites work

Managers are able to copy and invite link for multiple touch points in the application. This link gives recipient access to Sunny, and will automatically associate them to the manager’s team.

Send a heads-up first

Along with the link, we recommending posting a short message in your team channel, email, etc. Cover what Sunny is, what it asks, what stays private, and what your team gets out of it. Teams that get a heads-up join faster and answer more honestly than teams that get a cold invite.

A message you can copy

Adjust the wording to your voice.

Hi team! I’m setting us up with Sunny Workplace, a tool that helps us understand how we’re doing as a team and gives us small, useful things to try together. You’ll get an email invite shortly. Here’s what to expect:
• Setup is about ten minutes, including a short assessment. You’ll see what tends to energize and drain you at work, and only our team can see the results.
• Each week you’ll receive: two check-ins (each under a minute). A Weekly Kickoff on Mondays, and a Midweek Check-in on Wednesdays.
• Privacy: Weekly Kickoff responses are shared with your team. Midweek Check-in responses are anonymous, and shared with me in aggregate.
• Nothing is graded and nothing is mandatory. It works better the more of us join in, so give it a fair shot for a few weeks.

After you invite

  • Watch who’s joined via the Profiles tab on your home page. Give people a few days before nudging.
  • A personal follow-up is better a re-send: “did my Sunny invite reach you?”
  • Insights get better as more of the team joins: summaries fill in, Team Vitals™ become representative, and your weekly recommendation gets more relevant.
